Job Summary

Our client is looking to hire a Security Detection & Response Analyst to influence enhancement of our information security detection and response program. In this role, you will help our customer’s security team detect and quickly stop threats before they gain a foothold in our environment. 

What you will be doing:

  • Monitor, review, and triage security events or alerts across multiple solutions
  • Investigate security events and alerts to a conclusion and document findings
  • Work across technical teams to investigate security alerts, including influencing the direction of an investigation
  • Ability to serve as part of an on-call rotation to respond to security alerts or incidents after hours
  • Stay current with the latest threats and tactics, while using this knowledge to identify possible threats in the environment
  • Define and implement content improvements, process improvements, and threat detection capabilities
  • Assist and advise on other security program domains such as vulnerability management, application security, access control, data protection, and data privacy.

What you should bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Experience investigating security alerts from both detection and preventative controls, such as SIEM, endpoint protection, WAF, DNS, and IAM.
  • Knowledge of threats against the financial vertical, malware and attack tactics, and mitigation techniques.
  • Experience in public cloud and SaaS-heavy environments, especially AWS, Okta, G Suite, Slack, GitHub, and financial payment tools.
  • The ability to handle multiple security priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong opinions, and defensible independent, critical thinking and action.
  • The willingness to roll up your sleeves and improve processes or solutions.
  • Outside of the box and innovating thinking.
  • A thirst for continuously educating yourself and your peers.
  • A humble and collaborative attitude.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.
